Lee... my korean boy

7.20pm
The Adelaide Fringe Festival started last night at about 8.30pm…
I didn’t really want to go at first but I changed my mind after meeting a Korean fella. He’s kinda cute too :)
We took the bus. Huey Yeng sat behind me while Deb sat in front. We all had the aisle seats. As I took my seat, I actually thought that Huey Yeng took a seat next to a lady who was wearing a pink shirt, absorbed in her book. Halfway through the journey to the city, the bus suddenly braked and we heard some things crashing onto the floor of the bus. I looked down and saw a red mobile skid right between my shoes with a pen. I picked them up and turned to the lady beside me. It wasn’t hers and I turned around to ask, the lady was actually a guy wearing pink.
He looked at the mobile phone in my hand rather blankly as I held it in front of him. Still, with a blank look, he took them. I felt his fingers gently graze against my palm as I self consciously remembered about my sweaty hands. He mumbled a ‘thanks’ while I turned around to face the front when I realized that Deb was holding out some pens and a piece of folded paper in front of me. It took me a split second to realize that he apparently dropped a lot more stuff than I thought.
“Wow… there’s more,” the lady beside me commented.
I turned around and handed it to him, “Is that all?” I asked him. He stared at my other hand, still looking rather dazed and nodded, “Yes, that’s all.” And so I turned back to the front.
I realized that he had been staring at my metro-ticket that was in my hand and contemplating whether it was his.
He started engaging in a conversation with Huey Yeng. I strained to hear because the way he pronounced English words was different.
I turned around and he looked slightly startled.
I asked him where he was from.
He said Korea.
KOREA!!!
Did you hear that, Sharon??
Yeah, okay… the title of this blog entry already said everything but still…
KOREA!!!
I think I made a reaction and said something before turning around to face the front. Maybe I gushed or gasped because Huey Yeng told me that he was surprised by my reaction and asked why. She told him that I like Korea.
KOREA!!!
After we got off the bus, I saw him come down and he smiled and waved at us. I waved goodbye as he walked past us.
HY then told me that he was here to study English and he was going to the Fringe Festival. Gosh, he was cute. Even Deb said so without me asking.
His name is Lee. I’m guessing that that’s his surname.
If I were her, I’d ask for a full name.
But then, if I were her, I would be all shy and wouldn’t really know how to react.
He’s cute…
Oh my pretty pretty Korean boy…
He had slightly curly hair which was nice and was tall and lean.
I tried to keep an eye out for a pink shirted guy but there were TOO many people around.
HY said that he takes the same route as us to the city except his stop is 15 while ours is at stop 2.
Maybe one day I’ll get to see my pretty Korean boy again.
I kept thinking about him last night but I’m sure by the end of today, I’d forget him already.
Today, we all went for an Austral-Asian church BBQ at some pretty park and had lots of fun. At first, the five of us (Chiew Lee, Kimberley, HY, Deb and I) were rather unsure when we turned up and saw tons of people huddled under some trees.
Luckily Myra came to the rescue as we started heading to the male toilet to hide ourselves.
Most of them are from Adelaide University.
There were a few cute guys :)
I met a girl called Shelley and oh my gawd…she looks like Alicia and she talks a little like her too!!
Anyho, Deb introduced me to them as ‘Psycho Kid’ and ‘Drama Queen’
-_______-“
Apparently because Deb thinks I’m psycho and a drama queen.
Wonder where the heck she gets all these ideas in her head.
I met Jane Ng who’s doing the same course except she didn’t do twinning so she’s doing her whole course here in Adelaide.
Jane is really small and adorable. I think she’s really likable.
I also liked Shelley and Evelyn
I befriended two girls from Hong Kong as well; Mandy and Tina
Also a Chinese fella, Jien Tung, from Klang as well as a Chinese Indonesian guy, Handy, who grew up in Singapore.
Maximo who was born in Salvador… or something like that but he’s been in Adelaide for 16 years so he’s almost a local.
Yeah, new names and faces… but this is from the church community alone… and there’s a chance that I might not be able to see them again.
But they were really nice people :)
Well… there’s really nothing much to do anymore…
Classes are starting on Monday
*Shrieks*
Q: Am I psycho and a drama queen, Sharon?
a) Yes.
b) No.
c) Sorry, what’s the question again?
d) That guy’s butt is cute.
Since Jeff sometimes reads my blog, there’s a chance that he might be reading right now. So hi to you, Jeff.
Hope you’ll do great in Canada, aye?
I love you, Sharon.
Do your best in Singapore, the land of kiasu-ness (sorry to all the Singaporeans out there, I’m brutally honest at times)
Remember to always worship me!
